Flavel House
We took the kids to the Flavel House ( Museum ). Jack was wild but we made it through. Andrew enjoyed it.
Cape Disapointment
We hiked up to Cape Disappointment on Saturday afternoon. When we left the hotel room the weather was dismal. The snow/sleet was not stopping me and I pushed them on. By the time we reached Washington on the other side of the bridge it was looking a little brighter and when we got to the parking area, the sun was bright and shining. But....... The trail was not as maintained as the North Head light house and resembled a very muddy deer trail. I got my stroller about an 1/8th of the way down and I couldn’t take it anymore. My stroller went back in the car and The kids and I waited on the the trail while David put it in the car. Of course, Jack took off and covered himself in mud. And then got mad at me for it, we wound up having to wait near a CLIFF ( the least muddy spot) for him to return. The rest of the trip was much better and we were laughing about how dirty we had gotten.
Bad Day Yesterday :(
I had a bad day yesterday... Entirely disappointed.
It was capped off with getting the kids from school.
I didn’t get Jack ready so he had to stay with my Josie while I went and he was screaming at me when I left with Darienne to get the other kids from the Elementary.
I went to the regular pick up spot. Talked to Matthew’s teacher for a bit, about a project I am doing and started to head home. By that time, no teachers or kids were outside and I was missing one kid. Lauren. I asked the boys where she was. "Didn’t she go home sick?". "NO", I said. I panicked. Horrible thoughts ran through my head. I headed to the office, no Lauren. I caught a teacher in the hall, and she told me Laurens Teacher was in a meeting. There were no kids in the hallway. I headed down the hall to her classroom and there she was. Thank god, or so I thought.
She was standing there, and when I said Oh, lets go, She said I’m almost done and started cleaning off a table. Ok. I waited. After she was done I said Lets go, she ignored me and kept doing what she was doing. This went on for 15-20 mins. I finally raised my voice and said "We have to go, I am leaving" and stood in the hall. NOO fucking response. I went in and took her by the arm to lead her out. Took, not squeezed. And she fucking starts screaming "your hurting me your hurting me" and she tried to run back in the class room to finish. So I put my hand on her arm and told her I wasn’t hurting her and it was time to go and she kept screaming it/.
I was fucking mortified. I got home and I wanted to beat her. Put her in time out. Something. But nothing was done. She didn’t learn anything. She doesn’t respect me. I don’t know what to do. I told her I wasn’t going to pick her up from school again. She will be nine in November. She KNOWS not to act like that.

I'm old!
Um.. So, the coast does not have a lot of radio options, and since I forgot the ipod I was left scanning the air for something to listen to. I had the option to listen to Country ( gag me ) or some mixed oldies. I chose the latter. Casey Casem counted down for me, and one of the songs was "Eternal Flame". It was one of the first songs I danced to. In the 6th Grade, when I was 11. So it shouldn’t surprise me that it was 19 years ago, but it DID!!!!!!!!!!! 19 years ago, are you freaking kidding me?
