Here comes Halloween....

I had a rough night, my back was totally out and I couldn't sleep. Justin mumbled to me to get up and take something for the pain, so I did, and as soon as that kicked in, I found my ulcer again.. :( Thank GOD I bought some Mylanta when I moved in..

But, I am not going to let my hard night keep me from having a good day. I showered and am dressed for the day. My trusty KitchenAid Coffee pot had brewed my coffee at 7:06 am, just like I had intened.

I bought what I needed last night for some Halloween projects I am making the boys for their classroom parties... I am really excited about putting them together today. For Andrew I am making these:

And for Matthew's Class I am making my own variation of these:

The Memory Keeper's Daughter

http://www.memorykeepersdaughter.com/

A few days ago my sister came home telling me about a new book that MyRanda was reading. I love the Almost Moon book she recomended so on a diaper run to Target I picked it up.

Of course I read it, in less than a day. I couldn't put it down. It wasn't a typical book I would read, but it intrigued me just the same.

It starts off with a Dr. who has to deliver his own twins in a snow storm. His wife doesn't know it but their second baby born is a girl who has the traits of a down's syndrome child. He panics and tells the nurse to take it to an orphanage and tells his wife the baby died. She was gassed and was not awake when she was born.

That was the turning point of the book, and everyones lives were effected by that one lie. The nurse decides to keep the baby and raise it as her own. The Dr. and his wife never recover and its all down hill from there.

He never tells his wife or son the truth, and dies, letting them discover the truth on their own after 20 some years after the fact.

Silly, silly kids...

Sillyness...
Tonight the kids were talking amongst themselves.

Darienne said " Do you realize in 9 years I am going to be 21?"

Andrew said " Well in 10 years I will be 20."

Matt piped in and out did them both " Well in 40,000 years I will be dead but I will be frozen in ice cubes."

LMAO.. I love my Matt.

my drive home

Last night was eventful...

On the way home from my parents, I decided that I was going to drive. I am not sure what sparked my interest, but I took over and drove the 80 miles ( I took the long way home). It felt good, and I was very confident with my driving. Now is as good of time as any to take the step and get my license.

Soo, all the way home I drove. I even stopped at the gas station, and manuvered my way in there. An enourmous feat for me.

I pull in the drive way and here comes cops, running to the car. I am sitting there, not even sure what is going on yet. Apparently I crossed the fog line when I was on Airport road, and the woman behind me called me in. Blah.

I was sited for driving without a licence, but the officer was really nice about it, and told me to go get my license/permit and they would drop it, or I can pay the $242. I have my court date of July 9th.

Ha, well I guess I have no choice but to face my fears of the DMV and just get it overwith. Here is my ticket..

hospitality

Last night was fun. David's brother is down from Montana and we haven't seen him or his family since they moved nearly four years ago. The plan was to go have dinner at my MIL's and visit.
Yesterday we found out that he would NOT be coming to dinner, and we would not see him, but we were still expected to come visit David's mom. We even called her enroute, and dinner was still on. We were hungry too.
We got there and she didn't make dinner since her other son and his family weren't coming so she dug out a few peices of chicken, 2 pieces of cold pizza, some jojo's, some stale pretzles and a small bag of Cheetos and that, THAT was our fucking dinner. I was so annoyed/embarrassed that we were served that. Who the fuck does that to their child and his family of 6?? Sorry your not important enough to cook dinner for. Oh and she told David he could fry up some fish if he wanted some.. @@
I am really glad I don't have to go there often, and even the Xanax didn't help as much as I would have liked. But then again, I was laughing deliriously in the car on the way home about everything.

Flavel House

We took the kids to the Flavel House ( Museum ). Jack was wild but we made it through. Andrew enjoyed it.

Cape Disapointment

We hiked up to Cape Disappointment on Saturday afternoon. When we left the hotel room the weather was dismal. The snow/sleet was not stopping me and I pushed them on. By the time we reached Washington on the other side of the bridge it was looking a little brighter and when we got to the parking area, the sun was bright and shining. But....... The trail was not as maintained as the North Head light house and resembled a very muddy deer trail. I got my stroller about an 1/8th of the way down and I couldn’t take it anymore. My stroller went back in the car and The kids and I waited on the the trail while David put it in the car. Of course, Jack took off and covered himself in mud. And then got mad at me for it, we wound up having to wait near a CLIFF ( the least muddy spot) for him to return. The rest of the trip was much better and we were laughing about how dirty we had gotten.

Bad Day Yesterday :(

I had a bad day yesterday... Entirely disappointed.

It was capped off with getting the kids from school.

I didn’t get Jack ready so he had to stay with my Josie while I went and he was screaming at me when I left with Darienne to get the other kids from the Elementary.

I went to the regular pick up spot. Talked to Matthew’s teacher for a bit, about a project I am doing and started to head home. By that time, no teachers or kids were outside and I was missing one kid. Lauren. I asked the boys where she was. "Didn’t she go home sick?". "NO", I said. I panicked. Horrible thoughts ran through my head. I headed to the office, no Lauren. I caught a teacher in the hall, and she told me Laurens Teacher was in a meeting. There were no kids in the hallway. I headed down the hall to her classroom and there she was. Thank god, or so I thought.

She was standing there, and when I said Oh, lets go, She said I’m almost done and started cleaning off a table. Ok. I waited. After she was done I said Lets go, she ignored me and kept doing what she was doing. This went on for 15-20 mins. I finally raised my voice and said "We have to go, I am leaving" and stood in the hall. NOO fucking response. I went in and took her by the arm to lead her out. Took, not squeezed. And she fucking starts screaming "your hurting me your hurting me" and she tried to run back in the class room to finish. So I put my hand on her arm and told her I wasn’t hurting her and it was time to go and she kept screaming it/.

I was fucking mortified. I got home and I wanted to beat her. Put her in time out. Something. But nothing was done. She didn’t learn anything. She doesn’t respect me. I don’t know what to do. I told her I wasn’t going to pick her up from school again. She will be nine in November. She KNOWS not to act like that.

I found my "G" Spot... :)

While on the drive up, I saw this :D I couldn’t help myself. hehehehhe

I'm old!

Um.. So, the coast does not have a lot of radio options, and since I forgot the ipod I was left scanning the air for something to listen to. I had the option to listen to Country ( gag me ) or some mixed oldies. I chose the latter. Casey Casem counted down for me, and one of the songs was "Eternal Flame". It was one of the first songs I danced to. In the 6th Grade, when I was 11. So it shouldn’t surprise me that it was 19 years ago, but it DID!!!!!!!!!!! 19 years ago, are you freaking kidding me?

The Trio

my boys all dressed up!

Andy - Rian - Matt

Saturday..

Saturday was eventful. We got all dressed up and went to the Egg hunt at the Church. The kids had fun. Matthew's teacher is a Sunday school teacher at that Church so when the egg hunt was over, we watched a puppet show brought on by her.
They got their picture with the Easter Bunny. Jack didn't think it was such a good idea, Darienne thought it was creepy and they boys didn't seem to mind. I myself thought it was a lot like Donnie Darko. I go pick them up this week sometime. I took a few pics of my own as well.
We had to David's Mom's house after that. It was ok. We hid eggs. Tiffany and her kids were there. By the time we left though I was tired and really ready to go. David was driving like an idiot, and I was starting to feel car sick. I bitched and rolled the windows down and tried not to puke. The kids were complaining so I had to roll the windows up. I bitched some more, and David stopped the car and told me to drive. So I did. The rest of the way to my parents. It was the back way and the road was quiet, but I drove the 25 miles :)
